Welcome to The Sanderling guesthouse from Dave & Meru who took over the property in November 2020 in the middle of a Pandemic.
The guesthouse is situated in a great location, only a minute’s walk from the promenade and only a few minutes walk from several shops, pubs and cafe’s. Guests can also take a stroll down to the Stone Jetty to watch the sun setting over the Lakeland hills.

Guests can choose from an extensive breakfast menu comprising of a full English, Continental or lighter meals on request, along with a wide variety of teas and filter coffee which will be served in our new dining room with the centerpiece being the mural of Morecambe Bay.
We started an extensive renovation programme in January 2021, renewing the kitchen, downstairs accommodation, a new dining room and a new bar. We even gave it a new name, formerly the Silverwell and now The Sanderling - named after a local wading bird which has various different plumages.
