A few years back WEM was pleased to agree a £10,000 contribution towards some new illuminations in the West End in order to bring a little ‘Sparkle’ into the West End.
We’re planning to help brighten things up even further this year, and so we are once again working with Morecambe Sparkle CIC, the organisation behind the much acclaimed Baylight festival. WEM has agreed a £5,000 contribution towards adding additional lighting to the illuminations in the West End.
This is being done longside the work of Morecambe Town Council, who will be installing a new festive lighting scheme along Regent Road and Westgate.
If that’s not enough More Music will be holding their community West End Winter Lantern Festival on Saturday, December 6th, from 4pm to 7:15pm to include a lantern procession, led by Baybeat Streetband which starts at 6pm outside More Music. The procession will include lanterns created by locals, live music and a visit from Santa.
